Zikr Wall Art

Zikr is a Persian word for "remembrance." I created these paintings on the Catalonian coast of Spain in 2003 after a long season of not painting. After creating 100 quick sketches of faces (see "Faces of Sky" gallery) this series emerged. These are my favorites of the dozen.
